Food Journalism In Lyon, France
I was fortunate to study abroad this summer in Lyon, France, where I delved into the fascinating world of Food Journalism. When we weren't in class, we explored the beautiful country of France, took day trips to remote villages, and visited breathtaking museums.
I wanted to capture my journey so that others could see what I experienced and all that I accomplished within four short weeks. Enjoy!
While abroad, I created an Instagram account to share my adventures with friends and family and to practice my graphic design skills.
Here are a few pictures I’ve posted, along with a link to my page!
Here are some projects and other assignments we had during our four-week program! Each task challenged us to apply our classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios, enhancing our learning experience.

For this assignment, we were given the task to create a video based off food. The purpose was for us to practice videos skills, and also got us to venture out and try new foods!
-
In this assignment, we had to craft a food-related story that immerses the reader, making them feel as though they are part of the experience. I chose to write about my fondest childhood memory!
-
This task was part of a larger scavenger hunt assignment from Week 1. We had to try a new food and review it on video.

For my final assignment in Lyon, I was tasked to create my own story. I chose to write about something I’m passionate about — family.
